SL9 Espresso Roast — Single Origin
Kynetra Coffee
Our SL9 block taken to full espresso roast — intense, syrupy, with a dark cherry crema that pulls beautifully on any machine.
About this Coffee
SL9’s large bean size makes it ideal for espresso roasting — the thick cotyledons absorb heat evenly, resulting in a uniform roast without scorching. Washed processing keeps the base clean so the roast character dominates without ferment interference.
Peak roast temperature 218°C with a 90-second development time produces classic espresso markers: dark cherry, molasses, and a hint of dark chocolate. The crema is dense and persistent, a good sign of high soluble extraction.
Pull a 1:2 ratio for traditional espresso intensity or stretch to 1:2.5 for a slightly softer long black. Outstanding with full-fat milk — this is the single-origin that behaves like a well-crafted blend.
